'The Croft - Shetland Colours' produced from 100% Shetland Island Wool, a fibre celebrated for its fineness, warmth and strength.

In 2017 ‘The Croft Shetland Tweed’ was launched, created using state of the art dyeing machinery and techniques. The collection, both yarn & design exceeded all expectations and the demand for a solid range of colours thrived.

So now, in 2018 West Yorkshire Spinners have developed a palette of solid shades to complement the range. There are 12 distinctive Shetland colours that represent the rich heritage of the Shetland Islands.

Once again, Sarah Hatton has created a pattern book of  traditional yet modern family designs to accompany the yarn.

Crofting is integral to the landscape, cultural heritage and social economy of the Shetland Islands. It bonds people and places in a unique way, preserving livelihoods and age old traditions.
